An Exhibit benefiting the River Arts District and artists affected by Helene
December 6 – February 28 at BlackBird Frame & Art
Opening Reception: Friday December 6, 6-8pm
Staying Strong is a free art exhibition featuring over a dozen artists from the River Arts District (RAD) who Hurricane Helene impacted. This event aims to showcase the resilience and creativity of the RAD community in the aftermath of the flood.
The show will be quite eclectic, with multiple media and styles represented. Visitors can expect vibrantly colorful abstract alcohol inks, exotic collages, beautifully precise pastels, and watercolors and other media which celebrate the region’s landscape and animals.
A portion of the exhibit will feature endangered red wolves in support of Defenders of Wildlife, a national conservation organization dedicated to the protection and restoration of imperiled species and their habitats in North America.
Staying Strong lets artists share their surviving works while building community support to raise awareness for the ongoing recovery efforts in the RAD. Attendees can connect with the artists and contribute to revitalizing the local art scene.
BlackBird will be donating 15% of proceeds to the RAD.
